Sam Lovick is an independent economist providing advice in the pharmaceuticals, utility and energy sectors in Australia and overseas. For most of the last eight years, until June 2017, Sam was a Principal at Synergies Economic Consulting working across core business areas of power, competition issues, telecommunications, ports, grain, health and pharmaceuticals, and public policy. Before then, Sam was Chief Economist of CSL Limited for five years, covering the typical wide range of economic, commercial and strategic issues facing a large and growing global pharmaceuticals business. Prior to 2004, Sam spent 17 years as an economic consultant with two independent economics firms, London Economics and NECG, working in Australia, the US and the UK.
Sam is a graduate of Oxford University with a degree in Human Physiology (Medicine) and of the University of Melbourne with a JD in Law.
